As a vocational training specialist, she worked with special education students to be successful with
vocational training programs and passing state certification tests.

She has had experience with a vocational school that offered courses in the
following areas: welding, basic & advanced electronics, automotive
engine performance, transmission, heating/air-conditioning & alternative fuels.

She helped facilitate students to complete course objectives with an 80%
proficiency so they would receive course certificates that would be added to their IEP files.

She determined the type of modifications that special education students needed
by taking the state certification exams: such as extended time to complete the
test & the use of audio tapes for students who needed reading assistance.

Deana collaborated with classroom teachers concerning modification
techniques to use and "best practice" approaches.

She assisted students in classroom settings, small group instruction and
one-on-one assistance.
